Everyone has a mobile phone nowadays with many of use using a smartphone! Now why not put that smartphone to good use paying off it’s own bill! There is a great app that allows you to do just that, Airtime Rewards.
What is Airtime Rewards?
Airtime Rewards is a smartphone cashback app that allows you to earn discounts from your mobile bill.
As they say themselves; We love our smartphones but hate paying our phone bills
How does Airtime Rewards work?
Airtime Rewards is incredibly simple to use. First all you need is an IoS/android smartphone.
Sorry I could not resist using a joke about phones without using the Blizzcon Diablo event.
Anyway carrying on! On your smartphone you will need to download and sign up to the Airtime Rewards app. Once you have signed up link the cards (VISA or Mastercard) that you use to the app. Once this has been done whenever you spend money using any of those cards, at certain stores, then you will earn money to put onto your mobile bill.
You can then redeem this money whenever you want to make your next mobile bill lower.
The amount of rewards you get depends on which store you are spending money at. It ranges from 2-10% of the amount you have spent, most stores are at 5%.
If you want a bonus start of 50p then please use the code J8QUYYUF. Once you have signed up using the code if you spend at a partnered store within 7 days you will get an extra £1. This means that you will get £1.50 for signing up to kick start your phone savings!
There are currently 80 stores partnered with Airtime Rewards which includes stores like Waitrose, Argos, Pizza Express, Primark, Topshop and Halfords.
Don’t worry it counts for online purchases as well!
When can I use it on my mobile bill?
You will have to wait 35 days first before you can use the rewards after a purchase. This is to cover for return items and such. After all they don’t want to be handing out rewards for something you returned a few days later.
There is a minimum threshold you will have to reach first. This varies between mobile networks, although is low ranging from £5 to £10.
You can track how much you have and the transactions you have done on your app as well as your rewards.
How much money can you save?
Well this is a ‘How long is a piece of string?’ question.
It depends on how often you are spending money on the cards linked to the app and at the stores that are partnered with Airtime Rewards.
They claim that their active users are getting £10 a month off their mobile bill, with a few not having to pay any mobile bill due to the app.
I have also managed to pay off the entire of my phone bill for the month off as well.
Combined the cashback!
There are a couple of ways to earn a little extra whilst earning with Airtime Rewards.
If you have physical receipts then you could use Shoppix and Receipt Hog. These apps can earn you cash or Amazon gift-vouchers for receipt you upload to them from your phone.
When you want to make a purchase online then you can check out Topcashback or Quidco. Then you can see and/or compare if they have a cashback offer at any of the places you want to spend at online
